The Human Capital Incubator
The Human Capital Incubator (HCI) is an AFCA social and economic development initiative in partnership with Howard University School of Law’s ADR Program and USAID (Dominican Republic). HCI serves as a regional resource hub in support of local development initiatives. Program objectives include: (1) providing technical assistance to local organizations through student experiential learning and field placement assignments; (2) assessing the implementation of local laws and its impact on marginalized populations; (3) using conflict resolution techniques to assist community stakeholders in addressing targeted issues; and (4) formulating policy reform recommendations for local and international stakeholders.
HCI’s service model has been deployed in support of local initiatives designed to address the following issues:
